Hugues is a member of the Executive Senior Management of CIGP, the member firm of Cognos in China, based in Hong Kong. He is responsible for the CIGP’s Investment Banking and Private Opportunities activities, and he is a member of the Group’s Investment Committee. He is fluent in French and English, and proficient in Spanish.

Experience

At Cognos China, Hugues co-manages and co-leads the firm’s Investment Banking activities.

Prior to joining Cognos China, Hugues worked as a UK Financial Services Authority approved investment professional in London and Paris for Credit Suisse, ABN Amro-Rothschild and BNP Paribas where he started his career in 2002. In these roles, Hugues advised various corporate clients and private equity sponsors in the context of M&A and Leveraged Finance transactions.

Hugues is a Responsible Officer and Manager in Charge registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

Education

Hugues attended HEC Business School in Paris, graduating with a Master’s degree in Finance.

Life drives and passions

Hugues is a keen tennis player, a sailor, and is the proud father of three young daughters.
