Jacques’ Kruidenboter chooses continuity with sale to CONO Kaasmakers
With the sale of Jacques’ Kruidenboter to CONO Kaasmakers, a new phase begins for the company from Den Helder. After more than 45 years of entrepreneurship, owner Wim van der Linde is passing the baton. The transaction secures the future of approximately 30 employees and gives the company the opportunity to grow further within a stronger structure.
Over 45 years of flavor and continuity
Jacques’ Kruidenboter specializes in herb butter, white cheese products, and meal flavorings. For decades, the company has supplied supermarket chains, foodservice providers, and the food industry both domestically and internationally. Under the leadership of Wim van der Linde, it has grown into a leading player in its category. As Wim approaches retirement, CONO Kaasmakers has been identified as a natural successor that understands the company’s values and ensures continuity for customers and partners.
Wim van der Linde, owner of Jacques’ Kruidenboter:
“After years of dedication, we were looking for a partner who understands our values and can take our company to the next phase. CONO Kaasmakers feels like a natural successor. Our people, our customers, and our partners are in good hands.”
Strengthening position in the dairy category
CONO Kaasmakers, a cooperative of 390 dairy farmers and 225 cheesemakers, is known for its premium cheese brands and strong position in the Dutch dairy market. With the addition of Jacques’ Kruidenboter, the cooperative expands its product range with herb butter and flavorings that align seamlessly with its existing portfolio. This strengthens CONO’s market position, increases its added value for customers and partners, and creates room for innovation — all while maintaining quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
Jerry Griep, Managing Director of CONO Kaasmakers, adds:
“In a challenging market, collaboration is the key to progress. Through this acquisition, we are bringing together two strong parties. We are combining knowledge, capacity, and passion for dairy — without compromising on quality, craftsmanship, or identity. We believe in sensible growth, with care for people. The acquisition of Jacques’ Kruidenboter fits perfectly within that vision. With this step, we strengthen our market position while staying true to who we are.”
The role of Match Plan
The sales process had a special beginning: initially, Wim van der Linde took the first steps himself. Match Plan was later brought in to structure the process and guide it to a successful conclusion. Match Plan advised the seller throughout the entire process — from structuring the deal and conducting negotiations to coordinating due diligence and the notarial completion. The deal team consisted of Rens Knevels, Noa Kweekel, and Tim Struijs.”
