Cognos Juniors take Aarhus: 2026 Junior Training Session in Denmark

This week, junior talents from across the Cognos network touched down in Aarhus, Denmark for two days of learning, collaboration and connection, hosted by our Danish member firm Flair Capital.

The 2026 Junior Training Session opened with a warm welcome from Aarhus Municipality, before diving straight into the topic on everyone’s mind: AI. We welcome Elias from the Grasp AI team and he led a sharp session on GenAI vs. skills vs. agentic AI, and what it really means for the future of finance: automatable tasks, job security, and productivity gains across our member firms.

Then the real work began. Split into groups, our juniors got hands-on with Grasp, building live deal cases across two sample industries: an industrial company and a software company. The brief: find relevant buyers, map precedent transactions with multiples, and build a target list, all packaged into a polished PowerPoint with strategic rationale. By the end of day one, the room had turned into a live deal floor.

Day two raised the bar. Groups presented their work to each other, comparing target lists, buyer universes and transaction rationale, and walked away with fresh process learnings to bring back to their teams.

And beyond the work: an early-morning dip in the ocean, a walk through Marselisborg Dyrehave, and a celebratory dinner at Golfskoven made sure two days of hard work were matched by two days of connection.
