TEAM DUX GAMING
Seabird Capital, one of the Spanish member firms of Cognos, has advised the shareholders of TEAM DUX GAMING in a transaction with Volava.
Dux Gaming enters fitness with the purchase of Volava from the owner of Spinning.
The esports club, in which athletes such as Courtois, Borja Iglesias and Marc Gasol have invested, as well as the influencer DjMariio, has acquired half of the company to bring its products closer to its followers.
Dux Gaming diversifies its business and enters fitness with Volava. The club specialized in esports has completed the purchase of 51% of the home fitness company, which at the end of 2023 passed into the hands of Mad Dogg Athletics, the owner of the Spinning brand. The financial details of the operation have not been disclosed. 49% of the company will continue in the hands of John Robert Baudhuin, who has agreed to incorporate a majority partner with whom to bring Volava’s exercise bikes and online training to Dux followers.
Both Dux and Mad Dogg Athletics have transferred the company’s operations to Balagué. Its two owners have committed to investing to maintain the business, a dozen of the staff and the offices in Barcelona where the training and technology are recorded and developed for a minimum of three years.
“We have two first-class partners such as Dux, in the field of entertainment and sports content, and Mad Dogg Athletics with its unmatched experience in the Spinning sector, a brand of which they are creators and owners,” Balagué has developed.
