Privathospitalet Kollund

Privathospitalet Kollund

Privathospitalet Kollund is now entering a new chapter with Sune Nabe Frederiksen as the new CEO, Peter Bager as the new Chairman of the Board, new owners, and fresh growth capital from a group of investors, after a generational transition and a successful capital raise advised by Cognos Denmark.

Cognos Denmark was introduced to Privathospitalet Kollund when the former owners, Dr. Carsten Bruun and nurse Elin Nielsen-Gehrt, wished to carry out a generational transition. They emphasized the importance of ensuring that the hospital would continue with the same strong values and high professional standards on which it was founded.

Together with Carsten and Elin, we developed a strategic plan for the company’s future, including an expansion to Esbjerg, where we sought to involve Sune Nabe Frederiksen, whom we considered the right candidate to carry Carsten and Elin’s vision forward. A natural match quickly emerged between Sune, Carsten, and Elin, and a shared vision for the hospital’s future was established. Carsten and Elin will remain involved during a transition period to ensure stability and continuity in operations.

With its new leadership and fresh capital, Privathospitalet Kollund is well positioned to strengthen its market presence. The growth plan includes the establishment of a new private hospital in Esbjerg, as well as an increased focus on partnerships with insurance companies and preventive healthcare initiatives.

Congratulations to all parties on the successful completion of the transaction and thank you Privathospitalet Kollund, Sune Nabe Frederiksen, Peter Bager, and the new investors for their strong collaboration. A special thanks to Carsten Bruun and Elin Nielsen-Gehrt for the trust they have shown us throughout the entire process.

The objective is clear: Privathospitalet Kollund holds a unique position in the market with strong medical professionals, an outstanding culture, and an excellent reputation. Together with the new investors, we aim to make Privathospitalet Kollund the leading private hospital in Southern Denmark and take an active role in shaping the future of Danish healthcare.
