By acquiring the La Maison Des Travaux network, SGDBF aims to make it easier for tradesmen to find work for their customers, and to facilitate the renovation of homes and their adaptation to energy and demographic changes.

Founded in 2007, by Philippe Courtoy, France Bati Courtage federates a network of nearly 300 works brokers, franchisees of La Maison Des Travaux.

The Company, through its La Maison Des Travaux brand, puts private individuals or professionals with interior renovation, exterior work or extension projects in touch with local craftsmen (more than 3,000 active craftsmen) from various building trades.

With 208 branches in 80 departments in mainland France, the network has enjoyed continuous geographical expansion since its creation.

For over 15 years, the company has demonstrated all its know-how and expertise to become one of the leaders in the sector with a range of services specifically dedicated to works brokerage.

The capital transaction is fully in line with France Bati Courtage’s strategy of accelerating its new development phase.

As part of the process led by Cognos France, Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France (SGDBF) quickly emerged as a natural buyer.

The La Maison Des Travaux network will enable SGDB France to strengthen its offer of renovation advice to private individuals thanks to a local presence throughout the country. It will offer tradesmen a new source of business by simplifying the qualification of customer needs, while relying on the solutions and services of Saint-Gobain sales outlets. Franchisees will thus be able to respond more effectively to the challenges of energy renovation, by taking advantage of Saint-Gobain products and the Group’s local ecosystem (2,000 sales outlets, 400,000 trade customers, 435 showrooms).
