Seabird Capital, one ofd Spanish member firms of Cognos has advised the shareholders of Clubrural in a transaction with Holidu.

Holidu acquires Clubrural, a Spanish vacation rental portal

The vacation rental company Holidu with presence throughout Europe and five branches in Spain (Mallorca, Barcelona, ​​Tenerife, Alicante and Malaga) has acquired the Spanish portal for rentals of rural tourist homes in Spain.

Clubrural, founded in 1997, is one of the pioneer portals in booking holiday accommodation in the Iberian Peninsula, with a particular focus on rural tourism.

Over more than two decades, the portal has managed approximately 28,000 properties including apartments and vacation homes, attracting around 15 million visitors each year.

With the recent acquisition, hosts will benefit from greater exposure of their properties on the Holidu portal, allowing them to reach more international clients, while for guests, the merger represents access to a wider selection of accommodation.
