Chorus Intelligence
Cognos UK, led by Partner Ricky Lane and Senior Manager Francis Drysdale at partner firm HMT LLP, advised on Maven’s 15 million pound investment in Chorus Intelligence, a leading investigation software specialist.
Chorus has a fifteen-year legacy of developing and deploying best-in-class digital investigation software. Technology used by law enforcement, government agencies and corporations.
Chorus recently launched the Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS), which is being quickly adopted across its key UK and US markets. The platform allows multiple users to automate the processing of large and complex data sources, connecting disparate structured and unstructured data points efficiently, identifying suspects and criminal networks, improving evidential outputs and facilitating the acceleration and collaboration of digital investigations.
The Chorus Intelligence Suite delivers a proven and significant return on investment for the Company’s clients by helping to solve more crimes, driving increased efficiencies, and saving resources.
As a result of increasing digital crime and the growing demand for centralised, AI-powered investigative tools, Chorus has seen sustained growth, driven by positive market tailwinds.
Cognos UK, led by Ricky Lane, and Francis Drysdale advised on the deal and transaction, supporting both the Chorus and Maven. This included negotiating key commercial terms of the Maven investment, supporting the business through an extensive due diligence process, financial modelling and meticulous project management of the deal to its successful completion.
The investment from Maven will enable further development of Chorus’ innovative technology, increase integration of AI capability, continue its international expansion and support potential M&A to accelerate scale in a fragmented market.
