Match Plan, the Dutch member firm of Cognos, assists Kweklokaal with its sale to Partou

Match Plan has assisted the shareholders of out-of-school care centre ‘t Kweklokaal with the sale of 100% of the shares. This to its new owner Smallsteps. In 2020, Smallsteps merged with Partou and merged into the Partou brand, with all activities now falling under Partou.

About Kweklokaal

Kweklokaal operates in out-of-school care and is located in Leiden. Since 2010, ‘t Kweklokaal has been located in a vibrant neighbourhood with three primary schools. Besides the management, it employs four professional pedagogical staff. It offers out-of-school care, pre-school care and holiday care. ‘t Kweklokaal has three groups, two groups for children aged 4 to 7 with a combined 40 child places, and one group for children aged 8 to 12 with 32 child places. It is characterised by its short lines of communication and direct contact with parents, small scale and visibility in the neighbourhood.

About Partou

Partou is an organisation that focuses on childcare and out-of-school care in the Netherlands. They offer various forms of care for children aged 0 to 13. Partou aims to offer children a safe and stimulating environment in which they can develop. They believe in the power of playful learning and work with pedagogical programmes that focus on the individual needs of each child. In addition, Partou values good cooperation and communication with parents, creating a bond of trust and supporting the child’s upbringing together. With branches throughout the Netherlands, Partou aims to contribute to the development and well-being of children by offering professional and loving care.

Role of Match Plan

Match Plan assisted and advises the shareholders of ‘t Kweklokaal throughout the process. Among other things, we assisted in preparing a valuation of the company and supervising the entire sales process from A to Z. In other words, from drafting the information memorandum, approaching parties, supervising the due diligence to drafting the transaction documentation.
